The Waitakere ranges drop straight into the Tasman Sea on Auckland’s west coast with stunning beaches at the bottom of them. Wild black sand and rugged cliffs make this tour incredibly photogenic. Rain forests and open sea provide an abundance of bird watching for the enthusiasts. Get up close to the gannets as they glide past right in front of you soring in and out of their nesting sites. On this tour we have time to slow down and appreciate what we have. Morning & afternoon tea are provided and this tour includes lunch. Best months for gannet viewing are between August and March. However this tour has beautiful scenery all year round. We can tailor this tour for a Walking Pace 1 or for the more able and adventurous we can take is up to a Walking Pace 3. Bathrooms and facilities are easily accessible.
