Privacy
How I look after your information.
This explains what personal information I collect when you use this site or enquire about a tour, how I use it, and the rights you have over it under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Living in the Moment is a single-operator touring business based in Auckland, run by Dale Olsen, and I am the person responsible for your information.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry, a booking request or a message through this site, I collect the details you give me: your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, where you are travelling from, what you would like from a trip, and anything you write in a message. I do not ask for payment details through this website.
Like most websites, my host records basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit. I do not use advertising cookies or sell any information about your visit.
How I use it
I use your details only to reply to you, to plan and run your tour, and to keep in touch about your booking. Running a trip sometimes means sharing the minimum necessary with the people who make it happen, such as an accommodation provider or an activity operator, and only what they need to look after you. I do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
How it is stored
Enquiries sent through this site are handled by my website host and emailed to me. Some of that processing happens on servers outside New Zealand, which is common for website services. I keep your information only as long as I need it to help you and to meet my legal and tax obligations, and then I remove it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will action it, and there is no charge for a reasonable request.
