An early start for this tour as we head south east towards sensational Coromandel Peninsula. Stopping in the old gold mining town of Thames where there is time for a coffee and a mooch. (meaning - to meander slowly without much purpose). We then drive in the direction of your choice - left or right. Turning left takes us to a very special little pottery and railway system built in the 1970's. Turning right takes us over the mountains to the east coast where we would head to Hot Water Beach. Here when the tide is right, hot water comes up through the sand. This tour has a Walking Pace of 1 in most areas. Bathrooms and facilities are easily accessible. This is a full day tour. Note - a few times a year the Coromandel can experience severe weather and if this is the case we will reschedule your tour to a time that suits for safety. All other times driving is fine.

    Turn left for Driving Creek Railway & Pottery...or

  4. Hot Water Beach

    11:00am Hot Water Beach

    Turn Right for Hot Water Beach when the tide is right.
