2. Matakana Beaches & Wineries

This tour takes us up north of Auckland on the coastal road to Mahurangi West where we stop for a coffee break and take in the stunning scenery with plenty of native birds in the wild. Continuing heading north we stop for a mooch around the Matakana Village before finding ourselves on one of our amazing white sand beaches having a picnic lunch. There is plenty of time to explore the coast with gentle walks, wineries or sculpture parks. This tour finishes off with dinner at a local winery or brewery (depending on your choice). We have you back in Auckland approximately 8pm in the evening, and you have not had to worry about the roads at all. If you have one spare day in Auckland, this tour is for you. This tour is rated at Walking Pace 1 and can accessed by most people on flat ground with easy access to bathrooms and facilities. Walks can be adjusted to suit your needs with some lookout points requiring a Walking Pace of 2-3.
